there are a few things that you can tincture ingredents with. they are if legal age 100 proof vodka,ever clear,moon shine,Propylene Glycol (USP) - (High Grade),Widely used as a tincturing base,and the very best is Diethyl Phthalate..
This is the best solvent for the tincturing of all
the white musk, Keystone musk, Ambrette
musk, and most synthetic musk. It also works
better and faster on ingredients and glands
you would normally use propylene glycol for.
start out by cutting the oil's aprox 25% meaning 25% oil to 75% Diethyl Phthalate and keep adding the ingredent in small amounts till you get the stage of tincturing that you want in a ingredent.

castor can be tinctured with vodka, everclear,moom shine by adding one of these ingredents by covering the
( one pair cut in half) castor in a pint jar and fill up with tincturing solution and let set .after a while the liquid will take on the castor odor.
skunk essence tincture
now if you are looking to tincture skunk essence the best way i have found is(up todate) use peanut oil mix 1/3 pure skunk essence with 2/3rds peanut oil .
