i've never heard anything bad about bridgers, but never had any myself. i've got some #2 victor longsprings that are a great all purpose trap. caught a good sized bobcat in one in 07 and it held great. they're easy to set and bed. they cover a pocket set nicely. they fire well out of the dirt in a land set. most of my coils are dukes. when properly modified, they are a fine trap also. you could always find some one who has a few victors, dukes, and bridgers, handle them all a little and see which one you like. one might be easier for some people to set, one might be easier to bed in certain situations. pick what you think will work best for you and your trapline.

I was just wandering because we have some bridgers but no victors. We can get a good deal on some victors, so we were just trying to get an idea on victors compared to bridgers.

victors are fine. if it's a bargain, jump on it. if you decide you don't like em you can always sell em to someone who does. the trapboard site has a classifieds section for buying and selling stuff. feel free to put something like that in the general or outdoor talk forums here if ya decide to get rid of em. i'll put a classifieds board on here if we start getting alot of buy/sell posts.

I own about 4 doz victor 1.75's that I bought in the early 80's and they hold everything that puts their foot in it, never had a coyote pull one apart. hold bobcats well, and don't damage a fox either. good all around trap , but thats only my opinion. donnie
