So its almost time to start artifact findin...my bloods pumping for yet another year of it, personally i think that it will be a good year due to all the freeze and thaw...which loosens the ground and moves artifacts closer to the surface than ever before! some of the best places too look are plowed fields,and creek beds where there is a bend and the water slows down and the points drift to the bottom...In the dog days of summer you will find me in dried up creek beds where there used to be a deep hole filled with water looking for points, one of my favorite tactics! Also another good tip for creek hunting is when u are looking through gravel piles don't only look for the outline of the artifacts look for the point of one sticking out of the pile or the side or the but of it and so on... >foxpro<
